SONOS : NEW RELEASES

Sonos have announced two exciting updates; both of which promise revolutionary upgrades to their home listening experience.

The top of the range Sonos PLAY:5 wireless speaker has been overhauled to “deliver a richer listening experience” with precision and “crystal-clear clarity” in every voice and instrument. The PLAY:5 completes the range above the PLAY:1 and PLAY:3 systems, which offers a complete solution to home audio.

WHAT IS SONOS TRUEPLAY?

Sonos have developed new software for all PLAY:1, PLAY:3 and PLAY:5 wireless speakers. TRUEPLAY aims to fine tune your speakers to optimise the audio output for the room and environment. The way that sound bounces off the walls and surroundings can greatly effect the sound that you hear. Therefore, Trueplay uses an iPhone or iPad to assess your home environment and surrounding furnishings. The speaker can then adapt its sound output to provide the highest possible quality.

BIOMETRIC SECURITY

An intriguing release from INVIXIUM, designed to integrate with CONTROL4 systems. This is a biometric enabled home entry system with two-way audio intercom communication. The Inxivium system provides personalised entry using finger print recognition as well as a wide variety of customised actions using Control4. The system could trigger CCTV cameras, security lighting or text notifications, for example.

For more information about complete and customised home entry and home control systems, contact KAV to discuss your requirements.

IPHONE 6s AND IOS9

We’ve taken a look at some of the best ways the latest Apple release could effect your user-experience, especially if you use an iPhone or iPad for home control.

From 3D touch which changes the way you engage with your touchscreen to a complete redesign to multitasking functionality, find out more here.

Water damage could also soon be a worry of the past. Discover the steps Apple are taking towards waterproofing your device.

SMART METERS

Smart meters are a new kind of energy meter. They can replace your existing meters and send electronic meter readings to your energy supplier automatically. However, one of the greatest features is real-time feedback on your energy consumption and what it is costing. This gives you transparent access to your usage and instant notification of what costs you money.

Smart meters will soon be installed as standard and promise to change the way we consume energy. For more information on how to get set up, get in contact.

KAV also support complete home energy efficiency.
We provide analysis and recommendations for your home that could save up to 90% on your monthly energy bills.
