Trainee/Intern Project Manager at KAV London
We are currently looking for 3 trainees/interns. There is a guarantee of one project manager position at the end of the program, an opportunity of then being part of a family run business dealing with the very top end residential properties throughout London.
We would like to recruit from the Interior Designer industry, the reason for this is simple; our existing Intern has been so successful we now believe it is this route that makes an excellent project manager in the AV world. We understand that the prerequisites that make a good interior designer are exactly those that make an excellent project manager:
– Attention to detail
– Knowledge of the construction process
– The ability to deal with people from all walks of life
– Excellent communication
– Understanding of other Interior Designers
– Meeting timelines
– Understanding figures
We are very “Interior Design led”, are members of the BIID, and regularly attend such events.
The internship is structured over a 9-month period with modules lasting approximately 6 weeks. Throughout this time, there will be periods on site, designing, dealing with clients, marketing, and shadowing the Directors.
The successful candidates will be extremely presentable and have attended interior design courses. An interest in audio visual would obviously be an advantage as would the ability of being bilingual. A working knowledge of CAD would also be an advantage.
